SH! SH! 06: China Art Museum (Interior) 中華藝術宮

before talking about the exhibits

would like to give 100 likes to

the interior design and

architecture of the Museum

the design of space itself is a form of art

simple yet sophisticated

the museum is housed in

the China Pavilion for Expo 2010

it was the most expensive

pavilion at the Expo,

costing an estimated US$220 million

it is now the largest museum in Asia

China Art Museum 中華藝術宮

the 63-metre high pavilion,

the tallest structure at the Expo,

is dubbed "the Crown of the East"

due to its resemblance to an ancient crown

the building was designed by

a team led by architect He Jingtang,

who were inspired by the

Chinese corbel bracket  “dougong” 斗拱

as well as the ancient

bronze cauldron “ding” 鼎

and from the logo of the Museum

yup.. the shape resembles the word “華”

in traditional Chinese character

essentially means Chinese

(contemporary Chinese, you mean?)

and the usage of lightning and paint

for the individuals zones

somehow co-respond to

“supposedly” the sentiment of

the particular artworks
