Yuan Tong Temple 圓通禪寺
oldest temple in KunMing
can be traced back as long
Tang Dynasty, dated 1,200 years
the architecture is unmistakably
really classically oriental yet
the statues aren’t really so
a little mixture of Tibetan colors and
the bronze statue of Buddha is
more declined to be associated with
IndoChina’s Theravada style
and there’s a Theravada
IndoChina Buddhist hall in there
the garden is kinda impressive
the feeling of being surrounded by
pool of calm water yet
interconnected with civilization and
human intelligence
haha I don’t know what am I
trying to describe, here
can’t help but to throw back that
I was right in time for
the blooming sakura too
and walking down the main road
all the way to the Green Lake 翠湖
for the Siberian seagulls who
stop by during winter-spring season
I doubt they understand Mandarin
yet I have low proficiency for
any European languages except
the one I am typing with right now
so? wassup
