this is the 4th Saturday
I spent with grandpa
bringing him around mall
meeting his old friends
hanging out for tea
last week his friend didn’t turn up
so off he followed us
for the Roxy shopping
sitting on a bench outside
went to the A’Famousa site
waiting for his friend to come
chatting away in our dialect, Hokkien
Part I
okay the friend was here
nicknamed Mr. Cowboy
by the old gentlemen league there
and the other uncle I met for the 1st time
off we went into the mall for a walk
the mall was so crowded today
there wasn’t any empty seats at the fountain for us
had to come out again
Part II
I don’t mind hanging out here
instead of being in the air-coned mall
because I can multi task while chatting
persuading my little crazy hobby again
had to stay alert
in stand-by mode
because they have got fast paces
