I am not a big fan of Barbie
never own one in my life
always with the impression that
it has been overpriced
meant for collectors
but a couple of days ago
saw this collection
simplest ever
Barbie in tht LBD
little black dress
but to my surprise
there were quite some controversial about the collection
rather than just the oohh aahh
admiring these sexy ladies
Eg, the one at the far right
they called her Busty Barbie
way too sexy
and that led to
serious doubts about their occupation
are all of them OL (office ladies)
or among them, there are
gold-diggers, porn stars etc etc
so are these dolls specifically
for children or adult collectors
because apparently
they do not contain that
educational purpose
of what a toy should have
to be sexy, slim, hot??
but whatever it is
in my little opinion
yeah I don’t think these are meant
for kids
instead for kidult like us
but excuse me
count me out, because
I am not a Barbie fan
and avid fashion fans
because those LBD
really look terrific
and not forgetting
the different hairstyles of theirs too
bangs, waves, silky straight and even bobs
celebrate the colours…

crossing over with 12 designers
under the name of CFDA
Council of Fashion Designers of America
to design 12 sets of accessories
for the 12 dolls in LBD above
dress them up for the party, baby
so this is how you transform your doll
this is by Alexis Bittar
recipient of the 2010 CFDA
Accessory Designer of the Year award
the specific set was for auction
for charity purpose
on Ebay
for close-up of the 12 respective dolls
and their designers
there are other lines under the Basics label
such as Jeans
which I think are pretty cool too
from skinny, faded, to capri
wouldn’t they cross over with L’s Jeans
next time round
