The Smurfs' Village

this is the 1st game I am playing for real

in 3 years time, after A-level

almost one month already

Day 0

when I first played

was always missing out the harvest time

and if you don’t harvest within the harvest period

they would withered

withered

but now

better management of time

since I changed the layout of my farm

moreover there is lower rate of accident

of planting the wrong crops

previously

whenever I planted the wrong one

I have to wake up in the middle of the night

to harvest my crops

or ended up harvesting the withered crops

in the morning

* Fruity Fun Pack is required

Grapes, Pineapples, Cantaloupes

simple maths is involved

usually those with shorter harvest time

will bring higher yield

but usually

I am planting blackcurrant

despite of its lower return on coin

the XP return is high

strawberries, blackcurrants

let’s compare strawberry and blackcurrant

for 120 minutes

I may harvest two crops of strawberries

yielding 90 XP

but three crops of blackcurrant

yielding 180 XP

on the other hand

for return on coin

still based on a 120 minutes period

two crops of strawberries

cost 6 coins

and yield 24 coins

three crops of blackcurrants

cost 16 coins

with a lower yield of 20 coins

therefore it depends on

what are you seeking for

but of course if you have the time

the 5 minutes raspberries

and the cost-free blueberries

are the better choices

there are other ways of earning XP and coins

like some mini games

but it is limited to one round of game daily

because the bakery and lab would be

closed for cleaning

so what I always do is

plant some crops

while iBook-ing

and the 9 hours sleeping hours

to plant either corn or artichoke

one with higher yield on coins

and another on with better XP return

corn-planting

once in awhile

you may take a walk

out of your village

by visiting either

a random village / featured village

or even your friends’ village

and leave them a small gift

sweet

another attraction of Smurfs’ Village

is landscape design

moving the crops around

building fences

fence-building

I stick to very clean layout since day 1

maximum utilization of land

and neat-est possible arrangement

the mushroom houses

enjoy visiting the other villages

it never fail to leave me in awe

how much creativity the other players

invest in their respective villages
