first of all
thanks to Agoda
the other capsule hotel i booked
was over-booked
so the hotel actually offered me
a downgrade to mix dorm
which i was not quite happy with
so i opted for this one
The Pod @ Beach Road
an alternative offered by Agoda
or refund with 10% compensation
so i readily took The Pod
as it looked really good
with high rating and
quite some positive reviews
it was pretty easy to get here
Exit B from Bugis MRT
turn right along Raffle Hospital
across and walk along the bar street
turn left at the junction
where Pan Pacific Hotel is
and the hostel is right opposite
Park Royal Hotel
in other words
look out for
Raffle Hospital and
Pan Pacific Hotel
from Exit B at Bugis station
it is located at level 3
just press the bell
the check-in kiosks
which requires passport scanning
the staff nevertheless
gave me a hand
and showed me the way
hello!!
the locker is located
below the lower bed
with card lock
huge enough for luggage
i would say
since it is the size of
half a single bed
so i was technically
throwing everything i need
upstairs before i lock my locker
the card is pretty important
as it gives access to
the main door downstairs
the room door, the personal locker
as well as the shoes locker outside
cozy!!
and with privacy
yet minus the squeeze
the night before at Saigon
i slept at 3 AM and woke up at 6
so it didn’t take me long to fall asleep
but still i was up at 6 AM
thank goodness to the alarm clock of
my Korean room mate downstairs
as i had to continue working
hello roomies
yeah i am that kind who
would always prefer upper bed
in spite of the climbing
thank goodness i got one
and this bed of mine was
actually higher than my neighbour
the bathroom
is bigger than expected
and towel is provided
it felt horrible where
some hostels separate
their shower and toilet
into row of tiny cubicles
the breakfast area
or the common area
i skipped breakfast as
i was busy typing away
alright
being an anti-socialist
with loads of backlog
i wasn’t in mood for
such a social-able breakfast
i will definitely come back
for more….. concerts
being in a strategic area
to explore Singapore
day and night
