welcome to the second episode of
Memory Case File
the first investigation about pencil cases
was a mediocre piece
because till today
i still can’t find a few pencil cases
which i thought still exist all this while

if you are my secondary classmate
you would have heard of this epic
on a windy morning, the sun was shining bright
the birds were chirping cheerfully on the tree
okay.. sorry
i was trying to get myself into the
secondary student mode again

during recess time
we were taking our own sweet times
doing own stuffs
the rules is no-one is allowed in the classroom
what a stupid rule, right
*
i ordered these two pairs of Pepsi shoes
from Sue-yin via a catalogue
tsk.. tsk..classroom shopping
was happily trying them out
till Miss Ang, the discipline teacher
appeared at at the door
and chased us out
*
somehow i was rebellious
or trying to be funny
or maybe i just didn’t have the time to change
i went out in this pair of blue sneakers
*
and went down ground floor
hanging around the corridor
till the bell rings again
you may wonder
didn’t i have to eat during recess time
won’t i go hungry
no worries
we always ate during class hour
once Sue-yin got caught
with mouthful of Mamee Monsta
*
later Miss Ang went down too
seeing me hanging around there
she shouted,
“Hey HT, would like to talk to you later
about the competition stuffs”
and she went into another classroom
where students were making loads of noise
*
stunned…
how on earth can i talk to her
in this pair of blue sneakers
so got a friend, Li Ting
to exchange shoes with me
she was wearing my pepsi
while i walked confidently in her white shoes
towards Miss Ang
*
so we had a talk
and i went back to Li Ting
to change back the shoes
thinking how smart am i
to avoid this mishap
*
while we were changing
guess who was walking towards us
and saw the whole process
Miss Ang!!!
oh no…
god saves me
*
but she was too busy
entering another classroom
to “treat” the students
and she said
“hold on, i will deal with you later”
*
i felt that my heart was shrinking
beating faster and faster
so after she treated these students
it’s my turn
maybe i will be “showcased”
in front of the whole school tomorrow
maybe i will be made to run
in my blue sneakers
thought of hundreds of possible ways
that i will be dealt with
and most importantly
Li Ting was the innocent party
i had dragged her into this

she took quite awhile to
treat this mischievous class
i felt i have been standing there
for ages already
why didn’t the bell
just ring and i would run back
*
so she came out of the
after-treatment classroom
with her XXL cane
all quiet
they must be staring at me right now
*
then she said
“how many times have i told
you basketballers?? ”
huh? was she talking to me?
“after training you must change your outfits
and shoes by 9am”
*
so she had mistaken me
as a basketballer
and this pair of sneakers
were my training shoes
*
haha that’s the advantage
my besties is a basketballer
and i am considered quite tall
so after all i was save
what a close shave!!

hunted it for quite awhile
don’t want any Bata
and want it to be more stylish

high time for a pair of
proper heels

appropriate height
wrong colour
i remember i only wore it once
to my Cousin’s wedding
it had got cracks already

stupid shoes
that is nice to see
but not so nice when worn
too difficult to match
far too bright
but it’s not the Mary Jane series
this is way before MJ

and the curry stain on there.. oops
