Rain Curse X Empty Purse: Oxford Circus

Sunday morning…

rain is falling…

 

yesterday is supposed to be

our sight-seeing exploration around Central London

we kicked start our journey at 8.00 a.m.

but the continuous drizzling

on top of the attack of wind

 

by noon

decided to call our exploration a day

oh my

ended up at Oxford Circus

for more marketing survey

 

no that’s not an excuse

we went to Trafalgar Square, Chinatown,

and also Westminster for the whole 3 hours

my feet were quite soaking wet already

 

minutes to 11.30 p.m.

a crowd was seen right in front of Topshop

waiting for the store to be opened

 

and here we went 

I bet some are just like us

to cold to go anywhere else

looking for a cozy shelter

 

it felt a little bit like Christmas shopping rush indeed

 

nothing much

despite some digging done

at the mark-down section

 

next stop, New Look

because I was looking for a peach blazer for besties

saw one at Primark, 19 Pounds

it is just okay, given that price

 

moreover,

topping up a little more,

allows a better version at

Cotton On, Bershka, Forever 21 back there

 

an “insider tip” given is that

can get blazer under ten pounds

during New Look sales

therefore I ended up here

 

no blazer was found

but bumped into something else

both very Fossil-looking clutch and bag

but at Primark-price

9 and 10 Pounds respectively

for the supposedly sight-seeing tour

I were about to put on

are of the same genre:

summer tank top

but at least I made a great leap

didn’t you see the huge patch of yellow

never.. red and yellow are

next to non-existence in my wardrobe

but given this design

I have to surrendered

even if it is yellow

 

on the contrast

another colour I always find it difficult to say no

 

but I think it looks slightly better

spotted it but hesitated

formal-looking navy blue pants,

going at 7 Pounds

 

actually it is not so formal, after all

depending of what you matching with

and it goes pretty well with my varsity jacket too

next stop, H&M

these dresses are six Pounds each

they are actually at the girl’s department

but can easily fit in a size 14+years

which is a pretty good deal

 

my chambray blazer

already saw it at three different H&M stores

going for 30 pounds

but my manager helped me to grab it online

for half the price

 

isn’t this cute

unfortunately doesn’t look good

when I put them on

bulging at the two sides

basically it is more like an artist cap

rather than the cadet cap I was always looking for

one of the most-visit in the U.K.

especially for the guys

all the major sports brand are available

at discounts up to 70% off

 

and actually

they have fanciful street wears

if you were to dig slowly

eg: some lovely bags right at the top

 

I used my umbrella to hook this down

after standing there for so long

 

then I gave up

and finally some salesperson helped me with these

 

so which is good huh

in the mean time

we were done shopping after 4p.m.

finally the sun came out

to tired to explore already, unfortunately

probably it is not sometimes I would be using all the time

but can always share it with mom back home

but didn’t get one for my niece

and decided to just forget about the tote bag

the all so familiar logo

(being one of the most popular counterfeited product)

 

these are for my dad, Slazenger

which looks like Puma, but it is not

is indeed cheap here

because Sports Direct actually own the trademark

 

actually they are more to explore at Oxford Circus

but our feet were already aching

and I would end up with empty purses

and feasting on the air for food

for the 20 more days to come
