January was the best and worst month ever
being the best because
i finally got to enjoy Lunar New Year
the way i should

pre-Covid
i chose to escape to TW during Lunar New Year
for 4 years in a row
celebrating without the socialisation part
but yes
it was quite tiring
*
and managed to
travel for the very last time before
border closure on Feb 2020
*
then post-Covid
due to social distancing requirements
hey look
there’s no more visiting
so i had a pretty good time too in 2021
*
then there came 2022
the first year i got to celebrate
at my own place
*
but unfortunately was cut short
since i started working on Day 3 of the holidays
*
that made the Lunar New Year of 2023
even better because
in terms of workload
i had the worst month since June 2020
*
so i actually got to enjoy
throughout the whole Lunar New Year
went to the well-decorated city centre
for at least 4 times
*
Day 2 – for temple hopping
Day 8 – for phototaking
Day 12 – for a meetup
Day 15 – for the finale event
*
anyway
i could probably write this at ease now
since things got better after the New Year
perfect timing to make up for the income gap
*
will i still consider about
flying off somewhere during Lunar New Year?
not for the time being
why should i pay for the expensive tickets etc.
when i could have a pretty good time here
*
everything fits in well
* post-covid
* moving to a new place
* more manageable workload
*
