Wheel Play X Speed Fray: Motorway 車手

 

it wouldn’t convince you

if I tell you this movie is pretty good

probably you would think

I am biased since Shawn Yue is in there

 

me, myself wasn’t convinced either

because it’s all about car

which I do not know nothing about

and I seriously hate racing

and I do not enjoy scenes like that

 

but thank goodness

it’s a pretty practical and simple story

nothing grand, complicated

 

and definitely

it’s nothing funny,

like Playboy Cop

or cool like Initial D

 

a serious cop

and his veteran partner

 

versus two baddies

who one of them is a superb racer

so no cop could ever stopped them

after they fled the scenes

 

and the war accelerated

after the veteran partner was killed

and the baddies were robbing again

 

 

basically

that’s the storyline

therefore the movie evolves around

the psychological and physical chase

between the cop and the bad racer

 

then, in short

is it good?

that’s quite difficult to say

 

from the perspective of

a Shawn Yue’s fan

I would say

yup, it is

since this is the all-serious him

very much different from Jimmy Cheung

 

if you are not,

then probably this movie is still pretty good

under the genre of

a HK cop movie

 

if you are neither a fan of Shawn Yue

nor do you watch HK cop movie

then you can probably give it a try

can’t you

 

because

after all

the twists of the storyline are

something out of expectation

despite being

a conventional cop versus thief movie

 

by the way

just a little thing

I do not like the appearance of

this lady, particularly in the movie

on top of the dubbing
