first ever 100% self publication (i like to call it a minimag)

first ever Microsoft Publisher hand-on experience

first ever editor’s note

 

it took me about 12 hours

over the period of 4 days to complete this

not really the best, i would say

given the limited time

juggling with another 3 essays and presentations

 

it is basically part of my PR portfolio

which comprises of

(I) materials of uncontrolled media

• media release
• event plan
• factsheet
• speech

(II) materials of controlled media

• newsletter
• website
• ezine

 

PR writing

is the most enjoyable assignment of the semester

i would say

although it’s a little bit time consuming

it is very much writing based

combined with bits of creativity and design

 

finally

i have to admit that basic Adobe Photoshop

does really help in one way or another

but there is still whole load to brush up

this simple collage took me like 2 hours

 

by the way

isn’t it a little weird

i thought the website gonna be

part and parcel of the deaf campaign portfolio

i was half way designing a “deaf” website already

to realize that

the assignment is to design one for a friend in cupcake business

thank goodness i double checked

 

one step closer to my dream job

if possible

i would like to spend time

publishing more materials like this

on topics and issues of my own interest

why not?

maybe who knows

i will land myself in a NGO

then my boss sister will be so so mad

not too sure about my parents

 

she has already said

if i going to graduate to become an

insurance, banking or marketing girl

she gonna kill me
