Another Sweet Escape Home

Monday finished Macro paper

Tues stayed obediently to study

Weds couldn’t take it anymore

ran home at 12 pm

caught the 2pm bus

reached home for dinner

met a girl from Jb

like me, on an escape

she said

living in a city is too stressful

once in awhile she will go

these small towns

explore and enjoy

to my surprise

she is alone

no friend awaits her

at Melaka

she has got used to travelling alone

even abroad

*

Thurs continued to chill out at home

chatting with grandpa

now this has been my top priority

mom said evening when he came

he was looking for me

*

i didn’t tell him that i was leaving

everytime he saw me at home

he will be asking

“is it break already”

and the answer is always a NO

sorry grandpa

just another short escape home

till 4pm

that’s all

the end of my sweet escape

it was a hot afternoon

the sky was clear blue

saw some very lovely clouds

at Batu Berendam airport

near Batu Pahat

halfway through the journey

there was some rain drizzling

the sun was still bright as ever

and here you are

this is a sign

everything will be fine

just continue to enjoy life

been pampering myself going home

far too much

everyweek

tiring, time-wasting

i know

but who cares

and this is the very last time

of the year that

i am travelling to Singapore

i hope

then i will be

comfortably at home

for school break

for X’mas

for friends gathering

for food hunt

for shopping

for New Year

for all the goodness at home
