had my first solo trip
out of town on a weekday
for a indie band showcase
which has been postponed
due to unexpected circumstance
i.e. election on a Saturday
*
rented an one bedroom unit in city centre
but first let’s fill up the fridge
with some grocery supply
like yogurt, tea, water etc.
too bad it’s only a one day trip
or i could have bought more
*
travelled on train
during peak hour to catch the show
which is somehow far from the city
at the auditorium of an international
*
the train passed by a few “hot” stops
where more and more commuters got in
that was the peak hour train
which i hadn’t experienced for ages
both as a commuter or tourist
*
but made my way back via e-hailing
which was much faster and safer
but of course less adventurous
*
sat in the living room
munching on chips with tea
while checking out the showcase photos
until late
*
this was the routine back then
but at least i did substitute my carbonated drink
with sugar-free tea
well well well
*
started work at 8am next morning
at the same spot
i.e. the sofa
tackling the tough task
all the way until it was time to check out
*
managed to fill up my shopping bag with snack
from the supermarket downstairs
as souvenir
just like what i did pre-pandemic
*
continued work and got it done on the same day
after i got home in the afternoon
*
fitting in a quick trip in the middle of the week
seems to work pretty well then
even though there was a lot of
hesitation, considerations, and what-ifs
*
that was probably
one of the best things I have done in August
up next
another showcase on a weekday in October
it’s a yes!!!
