my 4 year old old laptop
has been making noise literally
and recently escalated
“system fan is out of order”
is the first thing greeting me
whenever i turn it on

in fact it may be around
for quite some time
i hardly shut down
only on sleep mode
unless the battery is flat

so it was quite a fast process
it took me one night to survey
and saw the specific model
i wanted will be on flash sale
next morning
and there you go

same old HP
because this has been pretty reliable
for the past 4 years
and 15.6” still
as i don’t think i can survive
without the numeric keypad

good thing that
it got delivered on a Saturday
have been trying day and night
to transfer files from
old to new laptop
*
Homegroup no longer exists
transferring via software
seems weird because
the total size doesn’t tally
couldn’t find my external hard disk
and thumb drive will take forever

it’s a good time
for me to clear those
many folders named
“Misc”, “Unsorted”

if laptop is getting more similar
to a mobile phone
how i wish it does have a
one-touch clone function
