who knows what kept me busy
June’s Journey, maybe

to summarize March
started well
ended well
*
started the month
with a short trip to
KL & Penang
for EggPlantEgg’s
Malaysia tour
solo
*
and ended the month
with another short staycation
to KL with BFFs
for Your Women Sleep with Others
*
there was this particularly
scare out of shit experience
in the middle of the month
*
in short
fell asleep early
email came in at 11pm
and woke up to find that
a large volume task
had been reassigned
*
but it wasn’t that bad
because there was
subsequent batch that
i managed to secure
*
but luck is not always
on my side
so since that
i try to stay awake
at least until 11pm
following client’s
office hour
can’t help it

sadly
no overseas trip this month
was thinking to utilizing
my birthday weekend x Labor Day
to take my mom out of the city
*
but her leave application
was rejected
grandnanny for 3 kids
tough life
and that sort of
affects most of my travel plans
this year

anyway
i mean it’s a good time
to really sit down
or lie down maybe
to look for some other
motivations in life other than
flying once a month
and it wasn’t cheap
by the way

what happened in Penang was
for the very first time
i sat down at the common area
of my hostel in a busy street
working, patting cat and
talking to others
the ideal way to
live as a freelancer
