Thousands Miles X With A Smile: Christmas Card.. Never Too Late

been checking the mailbox quite often

as in the real solid mailbox

not that Gmail you are thinking of

 

someone told me

he sent me a Christmas Card

on 6, Dec

 

now Christmas is already over

and we came out with

all kind of possibilities

like the postmen

got rid of some letters

he is just too lazy to deliver

(oops sorry)

 

or ten years later

they discovered a batch of

missing letters

and the card is within the pile

 

or it just been left out

somewhere along the journey

it’s 9000 miles away

you will never know

 

assured him not to worry

because the previous time

the postcard Cheryl sent me from London

took like more than 2 weeks to arrive

and she was already back here then

before I received the postcard

 

yesterday

the first thing I got home

is to check the mail box

 

finally

a red festive envelope

with unfamiliar postage sign

 

from someone special

 

on contrast to the States feel of the card

it is written in Chinese

 

what’s more

it’s in traditional Chinese font
