1st time working with Ms. Elle

homemade organic mantou

one day i gonna learn how to make my own too

steamingMan-tou

*

2nd day, barley tong sui

but no sui (water)…

and i didn’t put in tong (sugar) too

so let’s just call this boiled barley

attempt again on the 3rd day

*

but my mama said cannot eat this every day

so stopped cooking it again for the time being

actually I am not a great fan of

chinese barley

*

but i discover if it is well-cooked

it can taste nice too

not forgetting the nutrition values

in each and every spoon of this barley

chinese barley

*

today, boiling.. boiling

bubbles boiling

*

it’s done….

my rice….

i never know it will form such a lovely

symmetry pattern

 almost dried...

*

what I ate with my rice…

chicken floss and roasted ikan bilis

rice has never tasted that nice, soft and warm before

*

apart from this is my own d.i.y creation

it’s because I soaked the rice

for the whole day since 8am

each piece of rice is penetrated with softness

i love cooking

rice + chicken floss + anchovies

*

am i not brilliant?

the rice is just sufficient

to fill up my mug

these are the supplies I got…

my ingredients

*

later when i am cooking on daily basis

will go shopping each week for fresh supplies

rule # 2 of self-revaluation

thank you, ms. elle

thank you, mom

thank you, those cooking blogs i have consulted
