CNY Greeting: Peanuts Cookies

got the recipe Hsling Kitchen

but modifying

by using home-grounded peanut

it is actually leftover from my man jian kueh

and we added bit of almond powder

maybe next time round

we shall experiment with

adding peanut butter too

*

hers one baked 115

thought of cutting the serving size into half

but mom said it would be too little

this serving size will be just nice

for two baking trays

*

wow she is just so right

we got two trays of 160 mini peanut cookies

it sounds quite a lot right

however for the hard work of 2+ hours

it is merely a medium size container

one thing about my peanut cookies

is that it weighs pretty heavy

real solid ingredients, no fool man

*

the method of piercing the cookies

with a straw is just so brilliant

in her blog, it is described as

mushi-shaped peanut cookies

coincidently we have run out of roasted peanut

*

it is all so fun

actually though of baking this cookies

because of my dad too

he is not a very cookies person

but over and over again

he keeps mentioning about

this peanut cookies that

a particular 80++ grandma

has made and shared with us

*

it all lies in her peanut frying skill

mom has asked the daughter for recipe

blah..selfish

she said “like this, like this loh”

*

it is jolly sinful

when we bake our own cookies

then we shall realize

how much of oil

is actually added in

*

but there’s no choice

oil is the deciding factor

to create the smooth texture

pop one into your mouth

and let it melt

the peanut and almond aroma

will linger on

till you feel like

popping another one in again

*

my dad’s comment was

the sugar is not fine enough

so the melting effect is

not achieved yet

*

but even my picky sis

said that it is not bad

happy happy

*

flour, sugar, peanut, almond powder pre-baking oh my.. the oil     some chaotar one better looking one can't wait to taste one

3 hours = 1 can of lovely cookies
