2018/07/28: First Ever Music Festival

can’t get the Internet right

although I pretty much wanna work

because the Internet connection was

pretty unstable

no i mean totally not usable

it feels crazy

just watched No Party for Caodong

two weeks ago at WWW

in Shibuya, Tokyo

*

it was superb

beyond superb

intoxicated

*

then i felt that i didn’t get enough

partly contributed by the

super stressful workload

over the past two weeks

*

so i decided to attend another round

and next on the list after their Japan tour

are Singapore and Malaysia

*

so i decided to try my luck

for the Singapore tour

obviously no luck

*

and again, frustrated

with the fact that

attending the one in Malaysia

is not as easy as you would have imagined

*

then i realized

they actually offer tour package

accommodation + transportation + ticket

which makes the whole thing so much easier

*

more over other than Cao Dong

there are other performing artists who

caught my attention in the first place

Waa 魏如萱 and HUSH

*

unfortunately HUSH “pulled out”

one week before the event

but too late as

i had already made up my mind to

*

it’s actually pretty awesome

ignoring the fact that

i am actually hanging out

under the tree with my laptop

*

well when you are getting old

you won’t wanna risk

being exposed to excessive sun

*

reserving energy for 10 PM

to shout and jump

*

2018/07/28: Another Not-So-Winterly Winter

still have one unused entry for my Chinese visa

expiring early December

but then my dad’s passport is expiring

(6 month expiry) by mid November

*

but i don’t have a definite plan yet

again Xi’an is crossed out

because weather in winter is

looking a bit too harsh

*

then I started random browsing

sometimes that works

sometimes it doesn’t

also looking at tickets for

my escape trip for

next Lunar New Year

then i found

Shantou/Chaozhou/

Chaozhou+Shantou=Chaoshan

Jieyang Airport

which has been “officially” declared

as our nearest (next to Southern Fujian)

cheapest (low-cost carrier)

most direct (zero transit, by train)

gateway to Fujian

*

being a Fujian descendant

Southern Fujian is somewhere

I can confidently navigate

with zero itinerary

just like Taiwan

*

unbelievably cheap

finally as advertised

200 MYR one way

less than 500 MYR return

on a Saturday

for both ways

*

and during the night of day 2

the price remained the same

and i have actually finalized

and can just proceed with booking

*

until i checked it after midnight

slight increase

not much, but still

40 MYR per ticket

*

so i actually booked my tickets

past 1 AM

praying that the payment system

is not under maintenance or

whatsoever

*

from a hostel

i just checked in 1 hour ago

for concert’s layover

*

by the way

this is the 4th winter

travelling to/via this city

*

gradually fixing the pattern

which i don’t mind repeat

over and over again

Spring in Taiwan

Summer in Japan

Winter in Southern China

Autumn?

is opened to any option

preferably a short island getaway

and this year we are heading to Jeju

就家裡給找了個相亲對像
也没有很喜歡
但就是不知到怎麼推

出來見了一次
然後家裡老催我
再約約人家出來

我去 我其實就是
被烦得不得了 就給發了
結果人家幾個小時都不回
回的时候說 今天和家人吃饭

我真的搞不懂
說句對不住殘障人士的话
對不住了

我不是缺胳膊缺腿
干嘛把自己搞到這樣卑微
就算我是 但也沒有
這種必要好嗎

這樣低聲下氣
求人家跟你約會
求人家別嫌棄你

這就算了
關鍵是這件事
讓我覺得看到家人正在
逐步否定我的價值
這才是最可悲的

看來是真的的找個地方
一個人呆著去

摔了個碗
不對 是拿一個杯
來摔了一個碗

聽到草東的

哭得犀利花啦的

Can’t Wait to End: June-on

the month ended bad

generally bad throughout the month

on top of a seriously painful incident

not forgetting the earlier frustrating case

2018/06/19: Frustrated, Max!

was concentrating on a task

like seriously I was

and was sent a “small” file for quotation

*

i actually took the trouble to

highlight whatever segments

which required translation and

quoted accordingly

*

it was a “small” file so

i actually didn’t start as

i was juggling with some other tasks

until the person asked about the progress

*

given the price quoted

i estimated that i will take

30 minutes the max

*

then something didn’t feel right

looked like there were some segments

i overlooked and didn’t highlight

*

i am usually quite okay for that

if there were only a few

then i realized that

the file was way bigger than imagined

*

what the fuck was i doing then

i did look through the file

and what the fuck happened

*

so i quoted a higher price

of course with disapproval

and an 1 hour extension

since apparently

i won’t able to finish on time

*

it took me more than 4 hours

to finish a 50 bucks task

working non-stop

almost feeling the numb

on my fingers

*

i had doubt of course

malicious ignorance

also known as “malignorance”

about whether the other party

and the end party have in mind

about the length of the file

*

then again

no-one else but myself to be blamed

as i was the one who provided

the quotation in the first place

*

and due to the delay

i was forced to work until

1 AM on a Friday evening

just to finish other tasks

which happened to due

on the same day

*

that kind of FML feeling

like never before

*

when i am (almost) always

dealing with some

frustrating cases on a Friday

while others are happily

enjoying their TGIF mood

*

and this month recorded

the lowest sales in 18 months

i have imagined the worse

*

it was a long but not really fruitful month

and when something better

finally came in

i actually messed them up

by missing email or

giving the wrong quotation

*

anyway

2 new work-places unlocked this month

(1) Chinese courtyard, Lijiang

haha this was when i missed the email

because my phone was charging in the room

*

(2) Rooftop with mountain-

partial-lake-view plus sunrise, Dali

in fact, it was my final day in Dali

kinda regretted that i didn’t come up earlier
