Nationalist X Communist: Espionage Series 諜戰劇

I have finally successfully embarked on

Chinese espionage & war /

Chinese Communist Party vs KuoMinTang

vs the super annoying Japanese

genre kind of series

 

I previously tried watching

《The Disguiser 偽裝者》

and 《All Quiet in Peking 北平無戰事 》

 

Thanks to Wang Kai

and yet didn't move on

those two are actually the

recent one with high rating

 

And this time round thanks to Zu Feng

The (only?) gentleman without

happy ending in Ode to Joy 歡樂頌 : (

 

I started watching this one

《The Code Name 代號》

The one on the left of course

Not the boy on the right

 

But wait I know that boy

He was in Let's Fall in Love season 1

I didn't watch his part actually

As I watched for the sake of following

Liu Wen and Siwon

 

But still I can't believe

I finally watched 3 full episodes of the series

 

Previously when I flipped through

channels back in China

this would definitely be avoided

 

and next up I gonna

rewatch All Quiet in Peking as

the role played by Zu Feng

was quite an important figure in there

despite his death half way during the story

 

and to be released in September

another new series

Seriously..

I can't be watching this

 

《Shuang Ci 雙刺》

 

this “bitch” who captured Wang Kai in Ode to Joy

then Zu Feng in this series

then again Wang Kai in If Snail Falls in Love

but gotta admit she is really good

the highest attainable level of a bitch

you can’t help but not to dislike her

and Olivia is actually one of my favorite names

 

This genre is known as 諜戰劇

literally translated as espionage & war series

usually based during the

Post Qing -  Pre Independence war era

 

and based a quick research

this gentleman has previously acted in

quite a few other of the similar genre

after a McBreakfast next door

after seeing this at the window display

 

went on to dig more

have been considering about

getting one of these

as i was looking at the wallet

a 4-digit price vs 2-digit wallet / bag

really make a lot of differences

like a totally different social class

 

we walked out with

• 1 zip wallet
• 1 phone wallet
• 1 two-way bag
• two pairs of sandals
• 3 pieces of dresses

 

for the price of MYR 250…

as there is additional discount

for the second item purchased

 

that’s why Cotton On is

sometimes quite a dangerous place

indeed an under-one-roof for me

not forgetting fanciful bras from Body

and fanciful water bottle from CO Kids

 

my loots of the day

 

the size is a little weird

i prefer calling it a passport case instead

not an issue to fit in 2-3 passports

 

calling it a passport case

makes me feel better as

or else it looks as if

i am buying two wallets at one go

 

Peppa pig has been officially selected as

the petty cash purse during travelling

the transparent coin compartment is

super travel-friendly as

you usually can’t tell one from another

and end up with more and more coins

 

i traded in this for Peppa Pig

from my niece

 

so far so good

but still

i seriously think that

they should trim the size

so that it’s more handy

Hi Scooby X Then Snoopy: Vintageholic Flea Market

so on the way to the new flea market

we just dropped by the old one actually

and after meeting Scooby in his Time Machine

 

here we are..

it’s renovated from an old warehouse

along the river

behind Discovery café

 

every weekend 10 AM to 5 PM

it has quite a lot to offer as

there are different vendors

some with their own stores elsewhere

 

and my dad found this

 

upon a quick conversation with the owner

that’s shop with the 6 feet tall Ultraman

we actually passed by and wondered why

was it closed today and there he was

it took me quite long to ransack

picking those missing from my collection

and filtering out the one with

not really good quality

 

loots of the day

anyway i gave up

a Malaysian Snoopy wearing a Hibiscus tee

and a Singaporean Snoopy wearing a Merlion tee

due to “quality issue”

almost as old as I am

my dad asked why has Snoopy grown fat

I don’t actually own any toys

depicting the siblings of Snoopy

this is actually my very first

anyway i gave up a Belle due to

“quality issue”

 

i wasn’t considering them

until i found that they actually made

a complete transport set

 

the other transport set i was

trying very hard to complete is

the XL bobblehead set

no luck here today

the bullet train (how would I know the speed)

and the airplane are missing

 

the others

 

a free gift

my dad picked this

 

on top of a bulk discount

(12 for the price of 10)

and a 5 MYR total discount

 

frankly speaking if

i am the one paying

i would be happily leaving

without any of the above

anyway few weeks ago

i got another one

from the old open-aired flea market

near Geographer’s Café

 

and on the way there

bumping into this

it seemed that is into business now

one of these days

shall definitely drop by

 

that pretty much sums up

my typical Sunday morning with my dad

the one with my mom

is a completely different side

Kai2 X the Playful(boy?) Doc: Ode to Joy 歡樂頌

basically a story

surrounding 5 ladies / girls

representing different

age groups / background / characters

 

there are 45 episodes in total

and i am currently at episode 3

Kaikai has not even appeared

 

yet surprisingly

i have not even skipped

a single scene while

compiling this on a different screen

 

probably that means

i gonna continue watching

for the other part of the stories

whereby Kai2 is not involved

 

he is sort of entangled

in between two ladies in there

 

looking really really good

during the events last month
